major score!

Walked into the restore today and what did I find? A Heywood Wakefield chair! I almost peed my pants...it was marked and everything. The best part was the price tag: 2 buckaroos plus my volunteer discount. I already removed the seat and scrubbed it down. i didn't see and major problems but I will gently sand it and maybe try the tung oil treatment.
Oh and I got like 35 home decor magazines and 2 king pillow shams to cut into pillow covers. The shams are the light breezy colors I needed for the livingroom sectional. total cost 7.00.

Just an Introduction

I have spent the past year blog stalking trying to get my house to look picture worthy. The problem is I keep changing my mind about what my style is! So for now on I am going to stop trying to label myself and decorate around what I love. Honestly if I would just do what I like then I wouldn't have to waste another minute trying to make my "stuff" fit into a certain mold. This blog will be a file for me to look back on and share my before and afters. After all what good is it to be known as "the sanding lady of the neighborhhood" if nobody sees the results in my home?

I have pictures of my house when it was first completed and I will post them soon. That should hopefully get me motivated to make some great afters...
